Boutique Treasure Stipend |
Oregon’s Unique Boutique was created by former OSO President Janet Walsh in 2007, with the goal that the profits support Oregon DKG members so that they will “catch DKG fever.” Originally designed to support our members’ participation in regional and international conferences and conventions, over the years it has expanded to include state conferences and conventions as well as international seminars and workshops.
The Boutique is funded from the profits from its sales at OSO-DKG events and online. Additional funding comes from the Gamma Fund—the treasury residue when Gamma Chapter in Eugene/Lane County dissolved on June 23, 2020, as well as contributions from monies donated at OSO conventions/conferences.
The Boutique Treasure Stipend has been limited to “First-Timers” to OSO or DKG International Conferences/Conventions but no longer! First-timers will still be preferred, but depending on the pool of applicants, the Boutique Committee will now accept applications from everyone. The Boutique Treasure Stipend is intended to help partially defray the cost of participating in Oregon State Organization and DKG International activities. The amount awarded varies and depends on the number of applicants and the funds available in the Boutique account. Typical stipends for OSO conferences/conventions are $100 with DKG International workshops and seminars participants being awarded $500. Sisters wanting additional support should investigate other scholarships in addition to the Boutique Treasure Stipend.
Deadline: 30 days prior to event.
You can find the application on the DKG Oregon Website→ Scholarships and Grants →Scroll down to the Boutique Treasure Stipend section. The Criteria and Forms are in two formats.
Send your application to the Media Sales/Boutique Chair,
Catie Thurber-Brown, [email protected], or mail to:
1321 Astor Ct., Woodburn, OR 97071.
